Description
Montrachet typically fleshes out substantially with bottle age and this should do that as well but it’s not clear that there is necessarily better potential here compared to either the Criots or the Bâtard
The 2000 has been consistently brilliant
All of the Trapet 2016s are obviously extremely young wines but I cannot recommend buying it as it’s difficult to like at present and I cannot recommend aging it for fear that it will dry out
There is excellent aromatic complexity to the nose that reflects of rose petal
Both show graphite and licorice
Louis Jadot, Chambolle Musigny Fuees Vintage:2020 Montrachet typically fleshes out substantiallyThis is aromatically similar to the Baudes except its spicier still. The plump and rounded medium bodied flavors also possess excellent volume, concentrated and focused power that culminate in a more mineral driven, moderately austere and impressively lengthy finale. This is a big Fues as its rare for it to be even more structured than the Baudes. Patience strongly advised.
