I must admit though that I never had any problems with the line going around the back of the spool whichever one I used....and the 506 is still in use today, although it has been doctored a little by taking out the backwind, clamping down the drag and cutting out a section of the cowling so that I can play fish 'off my finger' as you would a centrepin or by backwinding
