The Motordrive is an add-on that mounts to the Overdrive already in the kayak rather than a second drive you swap in. It is rated for up to 40 lb of forward thrust and runs from a single-handed remote. Published performance of up to 4.5 mph and up to 3.15 hours of continuous full-speed running on a charge is qualified as varying with conditions such as wind and current and with the loaded weight of the kayak. Treat those as a ceiling rather than a plan. The Motordrive is sold separately, and a compatible battery is sold separately as well. Neither ships with the kayak, and the battery does not ship with the Motordrive. Motor-ready describes the provisions built into the kayak and the drive, not equipment in the box
