Description

it turned out to be a virtually sterile hybrid

Hedychium 'Tai Mammoth' starts blooming in very early summer and continues into fall

Starting in June (NC)

so all you'll want to do is remove the dead foliage at the top of the stalk

first named in 2008 by our late friend Larry Mellichamp in honor of the late NC botanist

Aspidistra daibuensis Yuli Yummy Hesperoyucca it turned out to be(aka: Aspidistra daibuensis BSWJ 6863) Aspidistra daibuensis 'Yuli Yummy' is a Crug Farm introduction of a special form of the Taiwanese cast iron plant that they collected in 1999 in Yuli in southern Taiwan. The clumps produce 26" tall foliage, heavily speckled with small gold spots. If that's not enough, the fascinating maroon flowers are borne at the base of the foliage in late winter. Maintenance: Aspidistra are very low maintenance perennials.
