2014 was one of those vintages when it was impossible not to sit up and take notice of what was happening at Lafon-Rochet

the texture gives comfort that there is enough structure to age

ripe stone fruits

but the 2010 Rosé is a bit more introverted and needs a bit of time in the cellar to blossom

Gianni Voerzio, Barolo Serra Size:6x750ml 2014 was one of thoseFreshly sliced plum, with black licorice and lavender hints. Full bodied, with ultrafine tannins that are chewy and polished. The racy character and precision of this wine are wonderful. Best after 2011. 875 cases made. JS
