18015 Austen's World Biography of the early 19thEdited by Howells's daughter Mildred Howells. She published this book 8 years after her father died as a biography of his literary life. Two large volumes of letters, biographical information, context, and information. Howells [1837 1920], famously to us a great Austen fan, was an author and literary critic who served as editor of The Atlantic Monthly and was an important part of the literary world of his era. He was a lifelong friend of Mark Twain.
