Arisaema maximowiczii Farfugium relatives of the Southeastern NativeFrom the Kyushu Mountains of Japan, this namesake of the 19th century Russian botanist, Carl Johann Maximowicz, is an elegant cobra lily with a 2' tall dark purple based stem. Each plant bears a ten leaflet leaf to the side of the main stem. The hood (spathe) is green and white striped and ends as a long thread hanging over the pitcher which houses the green spadix (sex organ).
