although it grows okay in open shade
Our 5-year-old plants have reached 5' tall x 6' wide
Despite being one of the most drought tolerant perennials in the garden
This beautiful 4' tall x 4' wide aucuba has dark
it's hard to imagine that these are really ferns
Trachycarpus fortunei Greensboro Trillium although it grows okay inIn 1997, we first offered Trachycarpus fortunei 'Greensboro' a hardier strain of windmill palm, seed grown from a hardy 30' specimen, growing at a church in Greensboro, NC, 2 hours northwest of Raleigh. We offered it through 2001, when due to church expansion, the original Trachycarpus 'Greensboro' palm was killed. Fortunately, we planted several seedlings here at the garden, and they are now producing seed, so we can once again, share those genetics.
