Born in 1434, Wolgemut was integral in reviving the wood cut. And perhaps even more significant was that Wolgemut taught this skill to Albrecht Drer, another famous printmaker. One of the famous images from his career was the Danse Macabre, or "Dance Of Death," from 1493. It originally appeared in Hartman Schede's book The Nuremberg Chronicle.
