beautifully textured flavors underpinned by solid but ripe tannins and the same floral note that many of these '95s display

Fratelli Alessandria, Barolo Gramolere Vintage:2008 with notes of blackcurrant andMedium red. Distinctly cooler on the nose than the San Lorenzo di Verduna, offering scents of cherry and musky underbrush. Then sweeter and more concentrated in the mouth, but still with a coolish, savory character to the red fruit and balsamic flavors. Finishes with serious tannins that turn a bit dry with air.
